    Histoire

The history of Château de Labusquière dates back to the year 1208. The d'Aure family, Barons of Larboust, inhabited the castle and its lands, farms, and vineyards until the 16th century.

Raymond, who married Gaiharde d'Orbessan in 1536, obtained ownership of Château de Labusquière. Paul d'Orbessan became the lord of the castle in 1621. Later, Count Joseph de Lordat and his brother François sold the castle to François Passama, a parliament member in Lombez, in 1720. This family had been residing in Montadet since 1623. The Passama family survived the French Revolution.

The children of Caroline and Baron Bernard-Henri (1793-1863) occupied the castle. Around 1850, during the time of Napoleon III, Château de Labusquière underwent a complete renovation in the style of that period. Afterward, Château de Labusquière was inhabited by the family of the Count and Countess Du Pence until around 1955.
